Review and complete the items below to help guide you in setting up your Train account. Start by logging in to your Core Control Panel or at train.pushpress.com
1. Add Staff & Coaches
Go to 'Management>Coaches' to manage your coaching staff members and determine their access. Coaches should be added based on their access role.
Administrator in Core = Manager in Train
Coach in Core = Coach in Train
If you are missing a coach you can manually add them by:
Select 'Add a Coach' to begin
Add the coaches first name, last name and email used in the system.
Select 'Confirm'
2. Set Gym Preferences
Go to 'Management > Preferences' and work through the Preferences-General section. No need to worry about financial-preferences. All financials will be managed in PushPress Core.
Preferences - General
Gym Name (or your program name)
Default Gym Notes (what you would like gym notes to be titled)
Duplicate week (toggle blue for on - white for off)
Weightlifting units (lbs or kg)
Workout publish date
Workout publish time
Timezone
Gym Name
3. Create Workout Programs
In order to fully and effectively utilize your Train system, understanding the differences between the types of Workout Programs available is key. Check out the descriptions for all program types and begin to add these based on your businesses needs:
Daily Program - best used for groups of people doing the same workout on a given day; either in person or remote.
Personal Training - private program linked to individual clients, note that the client will need to be added to your gym before you can create a Personal Training Program for them.
Program Templates - useful for creating an archive of a series of workouts. These can be as long as you wish and either be applied to either daily programs or personal training programs.
Habit Tracking - a specific form of a template that will only allow a Yes or No response. This template is best used to track compliance for specific metrics. For example, you can set a habit for member or clients to get 8 hours of sleep per night and they can log if they did or did not achieve this goal.
Challenges - another specific form of a daily program. Challenges are designed to track a total cumulative score over a period of time. For example, you can track the total number of steps over a months time to determine who is the leader.
Create Daily Program
Navigate to Train and select Coaching-Daily Programs-Manage Daily Programs
Click on the + Create Program Button
In the pop-up, add a name for the Daily Program first.
Next, choose the program visibility settings.
Lastly, choose the screen visibility settings.
You will now have a daily program created with a new workout builder available.
Create Personal Training Program
Navigate to Train and select Coaching-People-Personal Training
Click on the + Create Personal Training Button
In the pop-up, click on the icon to select a person.
If the person is not a member in your Core system, change the filter to "all" to find them.
Select the person from the list.
You will now have a personal training program created with a new workout builder available.
Creating a Template
Navigate to Train and select Coaching-Program Templates-Manage Templates
Click on the + Create Template Button
In the pop-up, add a name to the Template
Next, select the toggle options for Static Program. If toggled blue, a static template would be set by purchase date rather than a calendar date. The template would start on Day 1, Day 2, etc rather than Jan 1, Jan 2, etc.
Then, select. if the toggle option for Progressive Program. If toggled blue, a progressive template will only allow a user to see new the next day's workouts by completely logging a score from the previous day. Day 1 must be logged before viewing Day 2.
Finally, choose how you would like to use the program. Your 3 options are to attach to a program, assign plan access, or attach later.
Attach to a program would allow you to deliver the template through a Daily Program or Personal Training program that is already created
Assign Plan access would grant a person direct access to the template upon purchasing a plan from the core system. These plans can be free or paid plans as well as recurring or non-recurring plans.
Attach later will simply create the template and allow you the option to assign or attach at a later date.
You will now have a Template created with a new workout builder available.
4. Manage Plan Access to Workouts
If you need to manage who is able to view a workout program in the member app you have the ability to Manage Plan Access. This is will give you the flexibility to all individuals on a certain plan to view only workouts you want them to view. Note, this will only be a function for daily workout programs, program templates, and challenges. Private or Public daily programs will not appear on this list.
There are 3 locations you can get to the Manage Plan access button.

Coaching-Manage Templates
Coaching-Challenges-Manage Challenges
Click the Manage Plan Access button on the top right hand corner.
Click the dropdown filter on the popup screen
Select a plan you wish to edit and a second dropdown will appear.
Ensure the toggle is off and white, this will allow you to select specific workout programs.
In the second dropdown, select all of the plans from the core system you wish to allow access.
5. Program Your First Workout
You’ll find the shortcuts for the items in this category under the Coaching menu on the left panel. To edit Workout Programs either go to Coaching > Workout Programs and select the “Go to Workout Builder” button on the Workout Program you’d like to edit or go to Coaching > Workout Builder and select the Workout Program from the dropdown that you’d like to edit.
