Waiver (General Liability Release/Expressed Assumption of Risk)

A waiver, also known as a General Liability Release or Expressed Assumption of Risk, can be easily created and automatically attached to every person, including Leads and Drop-ins.

Important Notes

  • Waivers should not include financial obligations or membership plan terms—these belong in a separate membership agreement or contract.

  • Do not add a date or signature line—PushPress will automatically include these at the time of signing.

  • PushPress does not distribute waivers due to legal restrictions varying by geographical location. Ensure your waiver complies with local regulations.

Setup Instructions

  • Navigate to Digital Documents: From the Core dashboard, go to Apps > Digital Documents.

  • Create a New Document:

    • Click the plus icon to start a new document.

    • Enter a title for your waiver.

    • Add the content of your waiver, ensuring it’s clear and easy to read by using the formatting toolbar.

  • Attach to Everyone:

    • Select Person from the ‘Attach To:’ dropdown menu to ensure the document is assigned to all users.

  • Publish the Document:

    • Click the ‘Publish’ button to make the waiver live.

Setting Up a Minor-Specific Waiver with Automatic Parent/Guardian Signature

You can create a waiver with specific language for minors and attach it to child-specific plans. This ensures the correct document is signed by the appropriate party.

How It Works for Minors

  • If the date of birth indicates the member is under 18:

    • The system will automatically adjust the signature field to request the Parent/Guardian’s name and signature.

  • This ensures compliance with legal requirements for minors.

  • Each child assigned to the selected plan will have the waiver automatically added to their account for signing.

Setup Instructions

  • Navigate to Digital Documents: From the Core dashboard, go to Apps > Digital Documents.

  • Create a New Document:

    • Click the pink plus icon to start a new document.

    • Enter a title for the document (e.g., “Minor Waiver” or “Child-Specific Waiver”).

  • Add Waiver Content:

    • Write the contents of your waiver, including language specific to minors.

    • Use the formatting toolbar to make it clear and professional.

  • Attach to a Plan:

    • In the ‘Attach To:’ dropdown, select ‘Plan’.

    • Choose the plans you want the waiver attached to by checking the relevant boxes.

  • Publish the Document:

    • Click ‘Publish’ to make the waiver active.
