Kiosk or Coach Mode? Here's the Difference.

Kiosk Mode

Coach Mode

This mode is intended for your members to self checkout without a coach or front desk persons help. Ideal for leaving (gluing, bolting etc) tablet on your front desk.

If you ever find yourself understaffed this is a good option so your coach doesn't get pulled away from training for a simple task members can do themselves.

If you currently run a pen and paper, write down the coconut water you just grabbed type system then this is a more modern replacement of that.

This will be more limited in checkout options than the coach mode. Options are pre-defined from your Control Panel.

Note: Members will have to know their Member Portal App password to authenticate the purchase.

This mode is intended for a staff member to process the transaction.

The coach will have more flexibility to choose the payment method at time of checkout than Kiosk mode.

Note: Any staff members password can authenticate each transaction.

Coach or Kiosk?

Tap the 3 vertical dots in upper right corner to access settings.

  1. Enter any admin email and password.

  2. Select which mode you want to run the Store app in.

  3. Hit the back arrow, top left to save and exit.


Kiosk - Cash or Credit Card. Where to find these settings?

Dashboard > Apps > Store App

Kiosk Mode - Enable Cash Transactions

Set to YES if you want to allow cash sales in kiosk mode. Think Cash honesty box etc.

Set to NO if you want to run a cashless gym. Similar to airlines not taking cash anymore for your rum and coke. This will disable the Cash button on checkout on the Store App.

Kiosk Mode - Auto Close Credit Cards?

This gives you the option to run the transaction at time of purchase or add the item to an invoice to close out later. If you don't want to give the member this choice, you will set it here and all Credit Card transactions done in Kiosk mode will be one or the other depending on how you set this.

Note: These settings do not affect the app in Coach mode


How to get to Settings in the app

  1. Click on 3 vertical dots next to your gym name.

  2. Enter any Admin or Coach email and password in the dialog box that pops up.

What you can do in app settings

You can set which mode you want to run the app in. Use the toggle switch to turn Coach Mode on/off. When Coach Mode is off, you will be in Kiosk Mode.
