In order to use WhatsApp in PushPress Grow, you will need to ensure that you verify your business inside of Meta (formally Facebook). To learn more about verifying your business in Meta, check out this help article.
To register your business with Meta, you will also need to make sure that the legal business name you supply for verification is displayed on your website. For example, if your website URL is www.yourgymname.com and the legal business name on your official documents shows XYZ Gym, Meta will likely reject this submission. Instead, we suggest that you submit a website edit request to add your legal business name into the footer area of your website. Here is an example:
In some instances, if you already have WhatsApp service, you will need to disconnect your current WhatsApp account and go through a re-registration process on the WhatsApp phone number. To understand and troubleshoot some common issues, refer to this Meta help article: Troubleshoot Why Your Business Cannot Be Verified
To ensure your successful business registration, we encourage you to follow these steps:
1. Make sure that the business information you submit matches the information on your formal documents: https://business.facebook.com/settings/info
2. Run through the verification here: https://business.facebook.com/settings/security
Meta will have a list of acceptable documents to submit, such as a bank statement showing the legal business name and address. Note: If the address is your home, your business address in Meta must also reflect the same one, otherwise you will likely get a rejection.
You can also submit a cell phone invoice or your proof of business registration documents, but once again, make sure the addresses match on your website and Meta page.
If you receive a rejection, we encourage you to review the Troubleshoot Why Your Business Cannot Be Verified section in Meta.
Please note: If you have a current WhatsApp business connection inside of the WhatsApp business phone app, connecting it to PushPress Grow will disable this connection. Therefore, because Meta only supports one API connection at a time, you won’t be able to use the WhatsApp business app.
