Calendars are a useful way for managing appointments in your system. Before creating a calendar, you’ll want to ensure you have an understanding on unassigned vs. team calendars. Please refer to our tutorial “How to Create and Utilize Teams Within Your Calendar” to learn more about teams and team calendar setup.
Creating a Grow Calendar
Navigate to Calendars then Calendar Settings. Next, select "Create Calendar" at the top right side of the screen. You will want to select "Round Robin" as the appointment type.
Next, setup your Calendar settings.
Name Your Calendar Type
Choose what staff will be available for booking
Custom URL – Name for appointment (add title after {{}})
Meeting Duration: Duration of appointment (30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.)
Booking availability: Days of the week & hours of day
Advanced Settings (optional)
Add Calendar Logo
Add Color for internal calendar display
Additional duration settings
Appointment Notifications
Connect to google for reservations
Widget customizations
View Your Calendar
Calendars that have been saved to the account will appear in the Calendar settings. You have options to manage the appointment by clicking the 3 dots under action dropdown. Below are the actions you can make on a calendar:
Edit - Make Changes to existing Calendar
Duplicate - Copy the exact settings into a new calendar
Share - Get a shareable link to send directly or post on website
Move to Group - Add to Calendar Groups
Deactivate - no longer allow bookings but keep in your system
Troubleshoot - test out what the appointment booking widget looks like
Delete – Delete calendar from the account
Access Your Calendars
From your Dashboard menu, you can directly access your calendar(s) for a visual of your appointments and blocked off time. If you have more than one calendar, you can switch between them using the dropdown menu for “My Calendar”. Under “All” you can filter your calendar to show appointments, blocked time, or both. Under “Weekly” you can adjust the display between a monthly, weekly, or daily calendar view.
Booking Appointments Online
Click into the date/time you wish to schedule the appointment for. Or, click the “Book Appointment” button at the top of the page. In the popup window, you will be able to choose the following options:
Appointment Type
Name of the Appointment
Staff member running appointment
Select the Date & Time (automatically selected if chosen from Calendar)
Meeting Location
Select Contact
Book Appointment
Your appointment will now appear in your calendar at the date/time you chose. You may click into the appointment to edit or delete it anytime.
Booking Appointment in Grow App
Click the 3 lines on the top left corner of the app
Select appointments
Click the "+" and choose Schedule Appointment
Select Contact Name
Choose the appointment type, staff member, title and description.
Adding Blocked Time to Your Calendars
Click into the date/time you wish to start blocking off time. This could be for vacation/PTO, an offsite meeting, or any other reason you want to hold time in your calendar. In the popup window, choose “Blocked Off time” and complete the pop up information. Click “Block Time” to confirm and add this time to your calendar. From the Grow app you can click the 3 lines in the top left corner and choose "appointments". Next click the "+" button in the bottom right corner and select block time.
Now you should have a general understanding of how to manage and utilize the Calendar section of your system. There are several customizations and features you can set up to make sure this works best for your specific use case.
