Training a new staff member? Start with How to Get Started with PushPress as a New Staff Member. It routes each person to one guide built for their role: owner and admin, front desk, or coach. Come back to this article for Train, Grow, and Screens setup, which the role guides do not cover.

Set up your Core Profile

Before staff can start using PushPress, ensure they’re added to the system with the correct roles and permissions.

  • Core: Add staff members under People > Staff Members and assign appropriate roles based on their responsibilities (e.g., Coach, Front Desk).

  • Train: Invite staff to your PushPress Train platform to manage workouts and member performance tracking.

  • Grow: Add staff to Grow under Settings > My Staff to allow them access to lead management and communication tools. In addition, be sure to add the "Coach" tag to their Grow profiles in case you use GymHappy for Reviews (See how to manage Grow Tags here)

Tip: Clearly communicate staff roles during this process to avoid confusion.

How to use PushPress Apps

Ensure your team members download the necessary apps for their roles:

  • Staff App: This app is essential for coaches and front desk staff to handle member interactions, check-ins, and more.

  • Member App:

  • Grow App: Used primarily by team members responsible for lead management and communications.

All apps are available for iOS and Android. Staff App and Member App login credentials are the same as the Core system login. Grow App login credentials will mirror your grow login credentials.

Training Tip: Walk through a real-world scenario, like checking in a member or viewing a class roster, to familiarize staff with Staff App.

How to use Screens

PushPress Screens provide visual tools for class management and member engagement.

  • Class Attendance: Display member check-ins or class rosters in real-time.

  • Workout Display: Display daily workouts or personal training programs on TV screens for easy member viewing experience
