Open Gym is can be used in TWO ways within PushPress Core Managing Open Gym allows members to access gym facilities outside of structured class times, offering flexibility and convenience based on customizable scheduling preferences.

Option 1: Enabling General Open Gym Check-ins

  • Enable the Open Gym Check-ins: Enable the 'Open Gym' tick box in your settings. Members can check in even if there isn’t a designated Open Gym class type scheduled.

  • Activate Open Gym Check-in Settings in the Staff App: Go to Core Control Panel > Apps > My Apps > Staff App and ensure Open Gym Check-ins are enabled.

Option 2: Setting Up Specific Open Gym Times

  • Create a Free Open Gym Class Category: Use the class scheduler to create a new category for Open Gym sessions and mark it as free.

  • Booking and Pass Settings: Ensure members booking the session have an active pass. Booking a session will temporarily deduct the pass, but it is returned when they check in.

Access: Members can use the gym anytime the facility is accessible, either 24/7 or during standard business hours.

Managing Check-Ins During Concurrent Classes

If Open Gym sessions run alongside regular classes, members can check in using the kiosk:

  1. Members select their names on the kiosk.

  2. They choose the "Open Gym" option to complete their check-in process. This ensures seamless integration with your existing scheduling.HELP

Common Questions

Does changing a class to "Open Gym" allow member check-ins?

Yes, members will be able to check in once a class is designated as "Open Gym." This option ensures flexibility in adapting regularly scheduled classes without additional setup.

Will Open Gym sessions deduct passes from limited class plans?

No, if the setup adheres to the configuration guidelines provided (e.g., creating a free class category or enabling general Open Gym check-ins). The system ensures passes are returned upon check-in.

Quick Tips for Setup

  • Kiosk Integration: Make sure the kiosk is configured and operational to support smoother member check-ins.

  • Flexibility in Operations: Use the method that best suits your gym’s requirements, either through free-class scheduling or general check-ins via the Staff App.

  • Verification: Always test settings after changes to ensure seamless functionality for members.

• Check-ins count towards Limited Attendance Plans.

• These check-ins impact All-Time Attendance metrics for members.

Use Case: Ideal for gyms with unmanned access systems or broad open hours.

Option 2: Open Gym as Scheduled Class Times

Setup: Create specific Open Gym blocks on the Class Calendar as you would with regular classes.

Flexibility:

• Can be managed with or without a coach present.

• Allows staff to monitor or guide workouts if needed.

Attendance Tracking:

• Check-ins during these time blocks are included in Committed Club tracking.

Use Case: Best for structured gym environments or when wanting to include Open Gym in progress/accountability programs.
