PushPress Grow enhances your gym or studio’s ability to engage members by significantly improving the accuracy, depth, and usability of your member data. By seamlessly syncing with your PushPress Core system, Grow ensures that every interaction is backed by real-time, reliable data. This powerful integration enables you to launch smarter, more targeted, and highly personalized engagement campaigns — all from within the intuitive Grow platform.

What has changed from the previous sync?

  • Now: Full Core profile (street address, emergency contact, check-in counters, linked-account flags) flows into Grow instantly.

  • Before: Only name, email, phone; some fields (e.g., Client Status) were re-calculated in GHL and sometimes wrong.

  • Now: Your smart lists will be based on more reliable data

  • Before: Smart lists based on ‘Tags’

  • Now: Purely for labeling; they no longer start automations.

  • Before: “Contact Tag” trigger was a common workflow starter.

  • Now: Real-time event objects fire workflows (e.g., Class Check-in, Appointment Cancelled, Plan Paused).

  • Before: Workflows kicked off when a custom field changed hours later.

  • Now: Five pre-built pipelines track leads → member journey, plus visit-milestone boards.

  • Before: Three generic pipelines; many gyms ignored them.

  • Now: Separate totals for Class, Appointment, Open Gym + Total All Check-ins field.

  • Before: Single “Total Check-ins” tied only to classes.

  • Now: Child / partner profiles sync with “Is Linked Account = Yes”. Messages can go to each person.

  • Before: Only the primary account came across. Linked accounts did not sync.

  • Now: Folders are tidy and every workflow contains sticky notes explaining what triggers it.

  • Before: Scattered folders; no in-app help.

  • Now: New fields can now be used to trigger existing workflows.

  • Before: Old triggers that use “Tags” may not work as previously expected

What you should check and adjust?

Spend less than an hour to get up to speed and using the new Grow sync!

  1. Watch all 9 videos from above.

  2. Spot-check new Core fields

    ContactsSelect a memberCheck custom fields.

    • Open the Check-ins group. Confirm the new Core Sync has sent over accurate check-in totals for Classes, Appointments and Total Check-ins.

    • Open the General Info group. Confirm the ‘Client Status’ is accurate for that member. This will be sync’d directly from Core.

  3. Verify linked-account visibility

ContactsSelect a contact you know is a linked accountOpen ‘General Info’ group.

You should see ‘Is linked account = yes’ and also the name of the Primary account.

  4. Spot-check ‘Member smart-list

Check your ‘Member’ smart-list looks accurate.

  5. Understand the New Workflows

Open each new workflow and read the sticky notes to understand how they are triggered and function.

Yellow sticky notes explain triggers and safe-edit zones. Make this a habit before you adjust anything.

Check milestone workflow, this is set to trigger off Total All Check-ins, feel free to change it. If you referenced “Total Check-ins” in SMS/email copy, update to “Total All Check-ins” or the specific activity total you care about.

  6. Revise the Legacy Workflows

During the migration process, we may have removed some “Old” Tag triggers or drafted some workflows to prevent any unintended, missed-timed workflows from activating. If you have any custom built workflows, verify they still work as intended with the way we update custom fields in the new sync and don’t conflict with the new workflows. Reach out to PushPress support if you need help.

  7. Verify Email/SMS custom fields

A common field used in messaging is referring to check-ins. Verify any existing messaging is referencing the correct field.

In Email & SMS templates search for {{custom_fields.total_check_ins}} → change to {{custom_fields.total_all_check_ins}} or the new activity-specific field.

  8. Tour the five pipelines

OpportunitiesPipelines → choose each pipeline, read stage names, drag a test contact through the stages to watch attached automations fire.

Archive the three legacy pipelines so staff can’t select them when you are ready.

  9. Test each trigger end-to-end

Optional, but will help you understand how the data flows from Core → Grow.

    From PushPress Core:

    • book & cancel an appointment

    • reserve & check in to a class

    • pause a membership plan

Confirm that the corresponding Grow workflows fire within 60 seconds.

  10. Archive the museum pieces

Move every workflow, Smart List and pipeline you marked “(OLD)” to Draft or delete them to prevent double emails and staff confusion.
