This “Per Person Purchase Limit” feature at the plan level in Core gives admins control over how many times a single user (based on email address) can purchase a specific plan.
Key Features
Admin-Defined Limits: Admins can set a purchase cap for each plan, with a common use case being one-time purchase only, but it can be set to any number.
Landing Page Enforcement: When a limit is set, members attempting to purchase the plan through a Commerce Page will be restricted to the defined number of purchases. Once they hit the limit, further purchases will be blocked.
Staff Override in Core Control Panel: Staff members will still have the ability to manually add the plan to a member’s profile in excess of the limit using the “Add New Plan to Member” option in Core.
Example Scenarios
Limited Trial Offers
A gym offers a “One-Time 7-Day Trial” plan.
The admin sets the per person limit to 1.
A member purchases it once and is blocked from buying it again.
However, a staff member could manually re-add the trial plan if needed.
Discounted Plans with Restrictions
A gym sells a “3-Month Intro Membership” with a per person limit of 1 to prevent abuse.
If a member tries to repurchase, they get blocked.
A staff member can still manually override it if there’s a special case.
Limited Recurring Purchase Plans
A “10-Class Pack” allows up to 3 purchases per person before restricting further purchases via Landing Pages.
Once a member buys three, they must reach out to staff for more.
