WhatsApp Messaging In Workflows in Grow by PushPress

Ready to add WhatsApp Messaging into your Grow workflow actions? The first step is to submit the “Campaign templates” to Meta for review.

Note: Meta has strict guidelines about sending WhatsApp messages to any contact outside of a 24-hour period. Therefore, when your campaign templates are approved, they should help navigate around this block.

Once they’ve been reviewed and approved, you can insert WhatApp messaging into your workflows.

  • To submit template responses for Meta to review, navigate to your Settings page and click the “WhatsApp” section on the menu (left-hand side).

  • Next, click Templates, then Create New Template.

  • Now, give your template a name. Be sure to complete the Category and Language fields here as well. Note: Name this template something you’ll remember so it will be easier to reference in adding it to workflow responses later on.

  • Once it’s approved, you’ll see an “approved” status from Meta that looks like this:

  • Next, go to your workflows and add a “WhatsApp Step.” Simply click the + symbol where you want to insert a WhatsApp message.

  • From the list of workflow actions, locate “Send WhatsApp Message.”

  • Now, locate the specific message you created (and named) from your WhatsApp templates.

  • Finally, save your workflow and you’re all set!
