Creating a Google My Business account is a very important step in generating more leads gaining new customers. A Google My Business (GMB) listing also helps your business become visible in in Google search results and on Google Maps views.
If you haven't created a GMB listing yet, here's how you can do it:

2. You will be taken a scree that should look similar to this
3. Click on Manage now from top right corner
4. Type your business name in the search bar to see if a google listing already exists, in which case you will need to verify and claim the business
5. Click on Add your business to Google
6. Click on Create profile…
7. Enter your business name
this must be what your customer facing business name is as well as what is on your website
8. for category, type "Gym" or "Fitness" or however you want to be categorized
9. select your category from the list that most closely resembles your business
10. Click on Next
11. Select yes or no to the next several questions
12. Complete the actual physical address where your gym is located
13. Click on Next
14. If you have a listing on Google it will ask you to select it from the list, if not...
15. Click on None of these
16. Continue to answer the questions from Google that pertain to your business
17. Add your Gym's phone number (direct line) and website address (domain name is fine)
18. Click on Verify…
19. Click on Text or call
20. Type "943826"
21. Click on Verify
22. If you entered the code properly, you will get an "Accepted" page
23. Click on Next
24. Click on Add your services
25. select all of the sub categories that fit your business model
26. Click on the boxes to add them
Note: these sub categories help with your google rankings in search inquiries
27. Click on Next after you select all of the sub categories
28. Add your business hours
29. Click on Opens at
30. Click on option
31. Click on Closes at
32. Click on option
33. Click on Next
34. This option allows customers to send your business messages using Google
35. Click on Next
36. Give a description of your services. This is a good place to add a mission and vision statements and explain your "Why"
37. Click on Next
38. add photos to your listing
39. Click continue
40. Notice on Google you will get this notice while your business continues to be verified
This step can take 7-10 business days if it is a new listing
