Want to make your own workflows in Grow?? This article will help you with that.

Updated this week

This step-by-step guide is a detailed walkthrough for creating and customizing workflows in PushPress Grow.

Step 1: Accessing the Workflows Section

  • Log into your PushPress Grow account.

  • Navigate to the Workflows section via the left-hand menu.

  • Explore the folders to view your existing workflows.

Step 2: Duplicating an Existing Workflow

  • Locate the folder containing the workflow you wish to use as a base.

  • Click the three dots next to the workflow and select Duplicate Workflow.

  • Provide a unique name for the new workflow and click Create.

  • Remember, the duplicated workflow remains in Draft Mode until published.

Step 3: Using the Workflow Builder

  • This is where customization happens. The Workflow Builder interface includes:

    • Tabs for settings, enrollment history, and logs.

    • A Workflow Board to visualize and edit the structure.

Step 3.1: Setting a Trigger

  • Triggers are events that start the workflow (e.g., form submission, tag added).

  • Modify triggers by clicking the trigger box and selecting a new event.

  • Apply filters to narrow the trigger conditions.

Step 3.2: Adding Conditions

  • Conditions split workflows into paths based on criteria (e.g., membership plans, tags).

  • Add conditions by clicking the Plus button, selecting a condition type, and setting criteria.

Step 3.3: Adding Actions

  • Actions determine what happens after the trigger and conditions are met.

  • Common actions include:

    • Internal Notifications (e.g., push alerts to staff).

    • External Notifications (e.g., emails/SMS to clients).

  • Customize the action content and ensure sender details are accurate.

Step 3.4: Internal vs. External Notifications

  • Internal Notifications: Alerts for your staff (push, SMS, or email).

  • External Notifications: Messages sent to contacts (emails or SMS).

Step 3.5: Finalizing and Testing

  • Save individual actions and the entire workflow.

  • Test workflows with test contacts to verify functionality.

  • Once satisfied, publish the workflow.

Step 4: Workflow Settings

  • Configure options like:

    • Allow Re-entry: Determines if contacts can re-enter the workflow.

    • Stop on Response: Stops the workflow if a contact responds to a message.

    • Time Zone: Sets active time windows.

    • Sender Details: Adjust “From Name” and “From Email” for external messages.

Step 5: Publishing and Final Checks

  • Publish the workflow to activate it.

  • Double-check all settings and click Save to finalize.
