How to Create a Membership Plan
1. Navigate to Plans
To create a plan, go to the Plans section in your Control Panel.
Log in to your PushPress Core admin account.
From the left navigation, click Control Panel.
Select Plans.
Click Create Plan.
2. Set the Plan Name and Category
To set the plan name and category, enter a name that members will see and select the category that organizes it within your plan list.
Enter the Plan Name — this is what members see on your landing page and invoices.
Select a Plan Category to group the plan (e.g., Memberships, Trials, Drop-ins). Categories help with filtering in reports and controlling how plans appear on your website.
Note: Plan categories must be created in advance under Control Panel → Plan Categories before they appear in the dropdown.
3. Set Client Status
To set the client status, choose the classification that describes anyone who purchases this plan.
Client Status determines how the member is treated in the system and in Grow CRM.
Select one of the following:
Member — for recurring, paying gym members
Lead — for trials and intro offers (flags a diamond icon in the Staff App to prompt conversion)
Non-Member — for drop-ins or one-time visitors
Click Next or continue to the billing settings.
4. Configure Billing
To configure billing, set the price, billing frequency, and any trial period for the plan.
Enter the Price for the plan.
Select the Billing Frequency:
Monthly
Weekly
Every X days (custom)
One-time (non-recurring)
Set the Billing Start Date behavior: charge immediately, charge on a fixed date, or start after a trial.
If the plan has a free or paid trial period, toggle the trial option and set the trial length.
Set any setup fee if applicable.
5. Set Access Rules
To set access rules, define which class types the plan covers and any check-in limits.
Under Access, select which class types members on this plan can attend.
Set any check-in limits (unlimited, or a fixed number per week/month).
Toggle any other access restrictions (e.g., peak vs. off-peak hours if configured).
6. Set Visibility and Save
To publish the plan, set visibility and click Save.
Under Visibility, choose whether the plan appears on your public landing page or is admin-only.
Review all settings.
Click Save.
The plan is now active and can be assigned to members or purchased via your landing page.
How to Edit an Existing Plan
To edit a plan, locate it in the Plans list and open its settings.
Go to Control Panel → Plans.
Find the plan you want to update.
Click the plan name or the three-dot menu (⋯) and select Edit.
Update the fields as needed.
Click Save.
Note: Editing the price does not automatically update existing subscriptions. A prompt will require a choice to move all to new price or grandfather prices and only set net new memberships to change.

Editing billing frequency or charge date on an active plan does not update existing subscriptions. Members on the plan continue at their current rate until their plan is manually updated. It will only change for new memberships.
How to Delete a Plan
To delete a plan, open the plan and use the delete option — only plans with no active subscribers can be deleted.
Go to Control Panel → Plans.
Find the plan.
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) and select Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
Note: Plans with active subscribers cannot be deleted. Cancel or move all members off the plan before attempting to delete it. To hide a plan from the landing page without deleting it, set visibility to Private.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the billing cycle on an existing plan?
Yes — but changes to an existing plan do not affect current subscribers. Active subscribers continue on their existing billing cycle unless their plan is manually updated.
How do I hide a plan from members without deleting it?
Remove all options to "Link to Purchase Page". The plan remains available to assign manually but does not appear on the public landing page.
Can I apply a plan to a member retroactively?
Yes. Admins can assign any active plan to a member from the member's profile. Changing the start date will require a reach out to PushPress Support. Feature coming soon.
Why can't I delete a plan?
Plans with active subscribers can be deleted and WILL NOT cancel plans. You can find the plan under "deleted plans". Cancelling memberships cannot be compelted in bulk.
