Description
What the PushPress payments upgrade is, whether you need to do anything, and how your processing credit works.
What is the payments upgrade?
We are upgrading our payments infrastructure and how we work with Stripe. It has been over 10 years since our initial integration and your old account limits our ability to provide you with future enhancements and services. You will still be processing payments through PushPress + Stripe.
Who does this affect?
This affects ALL PushPress clients. For a large percentage, this upgrade will happen seamlessly and without your involvement. There is a remaining list of clients that we will contact directly that must manually complete this upgrade. This will consist of a migration of your old account (more details below).
Do I need to do anything?
If we haven’t contacted you, you don’t need to do anything. Most accounts were upgraded automatically, and nothing changes on your end. We will be reaching out to issue a small credit to your account if applicable (more details below).
Gyms that receive an email from us will need to take action by following the instructions outlined in the email. We will direct you to a URL within your current PushPress account to kick off the migration to create a new Stripe account. It should take no longer than 1-5 minutes. We will be reaching out to issue a small credit to your account if applicable (more details below).
If you still feel unsure about the email, log in to PushPress and check for a banner at the top of your account, or chat with our team.
Do I have to create a new Stripe account?
Only if we couldn’t upgrade your account automatically. In this case, we will notify you via the banner in your account and email and you will have to create a new account. We are using Stripe's Network Onboarding to seamlessly migrate your information, making the process quick and easy. There will be some cases where you might have to re-enter in your business information.
Your processing credit
Free and International accounts migrated will not be receiving any credits as there was no overage in payment processing fees.
For United States Core Pro and Max accounts, while accounts were being upgraded, Stripe temporarily moved everyone to its sticker rates (2.90% + $0.30 for credit cards and 0.80% for ACH). You do not need to request your credit. We calculate it for you, credit your account, and will send a confirmation of the amount and how to verify your credit.
Example: US accounts were set to 2.9% + $0.30 for cards, however, our published rates for Core Pro is 2.89% + $0.30. This is a difference of 0.01%. If your average volume is $30k/month and we didn’t migrate you for 6 months, this will equate to $18 of credit owed.
Will my members notice anything?
No. Members pay the same way, and their saved payment methods aren’t affected.
Will I lose my transaction history?
No. Your past transactions stay in PushPress. If you we did not require you to migrate your account, you will still have access to the same Stripe account.
If you were asked to migrate, you will now have two accounts and will still have access to your old account. When logging into your Stripe Dashboard, you can click on your company name in the upper left and there should be a drop down switcher that lets you pick which account you want to see.
What if I was asked to migrate and miss the deadline?
Your processing stays at Stripe’s standard rates, and we can only reimburse costs above your PushPress rate for gyms that finish the migration. If you run into trouble finishing, please reach out before the deadline.
