Session credits are used to book and manage appointments in PushPress. They are assigned to specific sessions and can be managed through the member profile. Understanding how to assign, unassign, and handle credits is essential for effective session tracking.

Assigning Credits to Appointments

Credits are automatically or manually assigned to appointments based on the session type. Once a credit is assigned to an appointment, it cannot be removed directly. If you need to undo the assignment, follow these steps:

  1. Delete the appointment that the credit is assigned to.

  2. Rebook the appointment without assigning a credit.

Unassigning and Reassigning Credits

To unassign a credit from an appointment and make it available for other sessions, you need to cancel the appointment. Here’s how:

  1. Cancel the appointment and forgive it.

  2. This action restores the credit to the client’s profile.

  3. Rebook the session, ensuring the restored credit is available.

  4. If credits auto-assign to future appointments, remove those appointments first.

  5. Manually attach credits to the desired sessions.

  6. Leave new sessions as “Booked: Unpaid” until you attach a credit, if necessary.

Credits will only apply to rebooked sessions of the same session type.

Handling Extra Charges with Credits

If a member incurs an extra charge, such as for personal training, you have two options for handling it:

  1. Refund the extra charge directly to the member.

  2. Issue an account credit for the amount and use it to comp the charge as the payment method.

Troubleshooting Common Credit Issues

If you encounter issues such as not seeing the option to remove credits (e.g., an em dash instead of three dots), follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Credits section in the member profile.

  2. Click on the specific credit item.

  3. You will be directed to a page where you can delete the credits.
