Create a Blog Post - The Basics

Log into your website. This information is in your website finalization email. On the left rail, Click POSTS ->ADD NEW. This is where you will create your blog article.

Click "Text" to write copy and add HTML while you are creating your article.

Click "Visual" and you can use the H-tags (Paragraph, Heading 1, Heading 2, etc.) as well as the other options, such as boldface without having to code for it, just like Microsoft Word.

What are H-tags?

  1. The h1 tag should contain your targeted keywords, ones that closely relate to the page title and are relevant to your content. The h2 tag is a subheading and should contain similar keywords to your h1 tag. Your h3 is then a subheading for your h2 and so on.

    2. Are you targeting the keywords you wish to rank higher for?  If not, go in and                modify your tags slightly to include those words.

    3. Google will not penalize you if you have more than one h1 (Headline 1) tag, but             one is preferred.  If you have a need for multiple titles, then perhaps it should be           broken into multiple posts, or use one h1, or multiple h2’s.

You can save your article as a draft or publish it. You can also set a publish date other than the current date by clicking EDIT next to PUBLISH Immediately.
