Steps to Create Custom Scoring Divisions
Access the Coaching Section
From Core select Apps, then Train
From train.pushpress.com, click on “Coaching” in the main navigation menu.
Go to Set Up: Within the Coaching section, click on the “Set Up” option to configure your settings.
Open Scoring Divisions: Select “Scoring Divisions” to view and manage how scores are segmented.
Default Scoring Divisions: The system includes default divisions:
Scaled (easiest)
Rx (hardest)
Note: These are arranged in ascending order of difficulty.
Default divisions such as Rx and Scaled are automatically toggled on for workouts, requiring no manual activation.
Create a New Division: Click on + Create Division to add a new scoring tier.
Note: Define the Division
Name your new division (e.g., “Elite”, “Masters”, etc.).
Set a sorting order:
Higher numbers rank higher in the leaderboard. Choose between 0-100
0 will hide the division from the leaderboard entirely.
Example:
Rx 2
Rx+ 3 (would rank above Rx)
Scaled 1
Save the New Division: Your new scoring division will now appear in the list.
Toggling Custom Divisions: Custom divisions must be manually toggled on for each workout to ensure accurate scoring.
Access the workout in the app.
Use Advanced Edit by hovering over the block and clicking the three dots.
Toggle the desired division (e.g., Male/Female). When active, the division turns blue.
Note: Custom divisions cannot be set as defaults and need activation for each workout.
Creating a Hidden Scoring Division/Leaderboard
Following the steps above, set the division sort order to 0 to create a hidden scoring division. Admins will still be able to see the scoring but other members will not.
Scoring Divisions for Affiliate Programming
Affiliate programming partners have their own scoring divisions that may differ from the defaults or divisions in your Train account. If you have different scoring divisions than the affiliate partner's programming you're using, you will need to select those each week prior to publishing the programming for the week.
Troubleshooting Scoring Division Visibility
If scoring divisions like Intermediate, Male, or Female are not appearing:
Ensure they are toggled on in the Advanced Edit section of the workout block.
Verify that the division turns blue to confirm activation.
If default divisions like Rx and Scaled are not auto-toggled, review the workout setup for issues.
Navigating Feature Visibility Issues
If class options are missing, this may be due to plan restrictions.
Confirm with your gym to ensure your plan supports the desired classes.
Use the Schedule tab in the app to locate scheduled activities.
