Creating a New or Custom Benchmark Category
Train allows gyms to create and manage their own benchmark categories for tracking gym-specific workouts. Follow these steps to set up your custom category:
From the Train menu, navigate to Coaching > Setup > Benchmark Categories.
Click the +Create Benchmark Category button.
Select the Visibility setting:
Athletes and Coaches: Visible to both athletes and coaches.
Coaches Only: Visible only to coaches.
Name the Benchmark Category (e.g., “PresslyFit Benchmarks”).
Click Confirm to save.
Changing the Visibility of a Benchmark Category
If you need to hide specific benchmarks from your gym members, you can adjust the benchmark category’s visibility settings. This is especially useful for gyms that don’t utilize CrossFit-based benchmarks and prefer to showcase their own custom categories aligned with their training style.
Steps to Change Visibility Settings:
Go to the Train menu and navigate to Coaching > Setup > Benchmark Categories.
Locate the benchmark category you want to adjust.
Edit the Visibility Setting:
Select Coaches Only to hide the benchmarks from members.
Keep the setting as Athletes and Coaches if you want them visible to both.
Adding Custom Benchmarks to Your Gym’s Category in Train
After creating your gym’s custom benchmark category, you can start filling it with personalized benchmarks tailored to your training style.
Go to the Train menu and navigate to Coaching > Setup > Benchmark Categories.
Select the Benchmark Category you’ve created.
Click +Add Benchmark to create a new benchmark.
Enter the Benchmark Parameters:
Name the benchmark.
Provide details like movements, scoring type, or workout description.
Click Save to confirm.
