Set the fixed billing date for plans to simplify monthly billing

This “Fixed Billing Day of Month” feature at the plan level in Core gives admins control over setting their plans to bill on the same day and allowing the first bill to prorate and set following bill dates.

Note: Enabling this setting will change ALL members currently billing on the plan to bill on the set date. In this scenario, anyone currently billing prior to the set date will incur a prorated bill on the original next bill date, then bill again on the set date for the full price there on out.

Adding New Members with Fixed Billing Day: When adding new members to a plan with fixed billing day, their membership will automatically be prorated from their start date until the fixed billing date. For example, if a member joins on May 6th and billing is set to the 1st, they'll pay a prorated amount for May 6-31, then their regular billing will begin on June 1st.

How to Set Up Fixed Billing Day:

  1. Log into your PushPress account.

  2. Navigate to the billing settings under the specific membership plan.

  3. Enable the Fixed Billing Day of Month setting and specify the desired date (e.g., 1st of the month).

Example Scenario

A plan is set to bill on the 1st of each month

  • A new member signs up on April 9.

  • Their first invoice would be prorated from April 9 to April 30.

  • They would receive a new prorated bill for the partial period to bridge the gap to May 1st.

  • Their next invoice for the full recurring charge would be processed on May 1, aligning all future bills to the 1st of every month.
