Add a class to your PushPress Calendar

Updated over a week ago

PushPress Calendars allow you to easily add classes.

In this video one time, recurring or session classes are covered as well as class capactiy limits, registration parameters and coaching assignments.

Create a Class

Access your calendar from your PushPress Core Dashboard via Schedule > Calendar.

You have two ways to add - choose + Create or click on the date and time you want the class to occur and choose class.

The module will slide out from the right for information to be entered. There are two parts - Details and Settings.

Details

Class Name - Give your Class a title - HIIT, Group Fitness, CrossFit, Yoga, Kickboxing, Youth 6-8 year olds. (Just a few examples).

Class Type - Choose from the class types created in prior steps.

Start date - This will default to today but you can add classes to your calendar in the future.

Time - Choose your start and stop time

Repeats - Choose when the class occurs and days of the week class will take place.
Repeats Forever - this is the default setting but other choices include - never making these classes a one time class, on a date will create a class session with a stop date and after, X occurrences where you can choose a specific number of these classes.

Then assign coaches (optional) and scroll back to the top and move over to Settings.

Settings

These settings allow you to customize class options and parameters for reservations.

Reservation Settings

  • Reservation opens - this is when this class will first appear on the member app for reservations to be made.

  • Reservation close - when the class is no longer taking reservations from members. An admin can add a person to the class via class on calendar > view class or on the Staff App in coach mode.

Attendance Limit - If you want to cap your reservation, please toggle this on to enable and enter class limit. The member app will show class is almost full or full and allow for members to be added to the waitlist.

Late Cancel - You can choose when a cancel is considered "last minute". For a 5am class you may choose hours making it the night before or an hour or two for other classes.

Late cancel is shown if a member wants to cancel during the late cancel window. A late cancel will be place on the member's profile to record it and if a punchcard or limited membership is used, the class is deducted.

You can give the class back on the member's profile as you wish. There is no way to turn that feature off. Late cancels are not recorded until 30 minutes after class has finished.

If you do not want to use this feature leave it as "at start time".

Location - Choose the location of the class if you'd like. Locations are built in previous steps and can include a link for google maps and is useful if you have multiple locations.

SAVE - Be sure to scroll back up and Save your work. Class is added to calendar.
