Creating Classes with Start and End Date

Set up a class that begins and ends on predetermined dates. Most helpful with Bootcamps, Short Courses, or Kids Camps

In certain instances, you may look to offer classes that have a set start and end date and will typically have the same class times over either a few days or a few weeks. This is most helpful with bootcamps, short courses, or kids courses. There are 2 components to this you will need to set up: Class times on the Schedule and a Plan so you can sell and register users against it.

Create the Class in the Schedule

Add your Course times to the Schedule

  • From the calendar, click on the first day of your course.

  • Create a new class (set to recurring)

  • Remove the recurring series by clicking on the class after the last class, edit, and delete all future classes. (so members know class is finished and doesn't continue forever)

Create the Plan

Create a Plan under Plans section. This is so people can register for the course. They can also use this to check-in against.

  1. Select Plans Menu.

  2. Select 'Create New Plan' from the right rail menu.

  3. Add Name, Description, and Additional Info (optional)

  4. Select 'Non-Recurring' for the Type.

  5. Fill out the rest of the parameters depending on how you want to manage monthly recurring members or use PLAN AI to create a non recurring plan for you and edit it to fir your needs.

  6. Additionally, you can create hybrid plans combining multiple services over different periods and specify future start dates, allowing for full flexibility tailored to your business needs.

Note:

The Schedule and Plan components are not linked in any way. However, you need to utilize both to educate, sell and check members in.

Sell the Plan

Now, use the Landing Page link to sell the plan from your website, Facebook or another social channel you utilize.

  1. From Core Menu -> Plans -. Go to the specific plan

  2. Click on the 3 dots on the right hand side and choose "View landing page"

From Here there are options: 4. To provide clients with a fixed future start date for the membership, configure the optional start date toggle in the plan's settings. Once saved, memberships will start on the specified date automatically.

  1. Set 'Optional Start Date' to the day you want the Course to start.

  2. Apply a discount to the Landing page for selling (presale etc)

  3. Copy Link or Use QR code to share to Sell

  4. If you wish to allow buyers to select their own start date, enable the 'Buyer-Selected Start Date' feature in the landing page settings. This gives clients flexibility in determining when their membership begins.

Note: Setting the date here does not save the date for the plan, this is setting the date for the link you're creating.

  • For alignment of billing cycles, you can set the plan's billing day to match the desired start date, with options to prorate or delay the first full billing cycle.

  • Plans setting a future activation date will show as 'pending active' until their start date; during this time, clients cannot check in or use the membership for facility access.
