Overview

Use this guide to create, optimize, and publish a blog post using the PushPress Sites (Webflow) editor. This includes best practices for SEO, image formatting, and publishing options.

Prerequisites

  • Access to your website editor: yourwebsitename.com?edit

  • Blog Collection must be enabled on your site

Steps

1. Log In to Your Website Editor

Go to yourwebsitename.com?edit and log in.
A menu bar will appear at the bottom of the page once you are authenticated.

2. Open the Blog Collection

  1. Select Collections from the bottom menu.

  2. Choose Blogs from the collection list.

3. Create a New Blog

In the upper-right corner, select Add New Blog.

4. Enter Blog Content

Complete all fields with the required information.
Be sure to upload both a main image and thumbnail image.

SEO Guidance:

  • Your blog title automatically becomes your H1 header.

  • Only one H1 should appear on the page. All in-body headers must be H2 or lower.

5. Add a Blog Summary

Complete the Blog Summary field with a concise description of the article.
Include relevant keywords to improve SEO performance.

6. Upload and Optimize Images

Image SEO Tips:

  • Rename image files using relevant keywords (example: “at-home-workouts-no-equipment”).

  • Add alt text describing the image to prevent indexing issues and support SEO.

7. Assign an Author

Choose the author from the author dropdown.
If no authors appear, add one by opening the Author Collection and creating a new entry.

8. Publish, Save, or Schedule

Use the options in the top-right corner:

  • Publish – Makes the blog live immediately

  • Save Draft – Saves your work without publishing

  • Schedule – Publishes on a selected date and time

Important: Do not use the "Publish" button on the top right of the Webflow interface. It will publish all pending site changes, not just your blog.

Troubleshooting

My image looks distorted.
Confirm the image is sized at 500px by 500px before uploading.

My author does not appear in the list.
Add the author manually in the Author Collection.

My blog is not appearing live after publishing.
Check whether you published through the blog entry itself rather than the global site publish button.
